It's already let us double the size of our team, strengthen therapeutic support for carers, boost our recruitment offer, and formalise a partnership with Now Foster, so every HOME carer now has a dedicated Weekenders carer linked in, providing regular short breaks for them and the childr

Our first cohort has completed training Cathy (Registered Manager) and Kayleigh (Fostering Social Worker) have just wrapped up our first Skills to Foster preparation course. It couldn't have gone better: applicants spent the sessions chatting, sharing experiences and debating, and a real sense of community has already formed between them.

Mark's house hunting is nearly done We've been out house hunting with Mark, our first foster carer applicant, viewing properties in Trafford. Allan (Director at HOME) has joined him at every viewing, talking to landlords and letting agents through what it means to have foster carer as a tenant, and the support we provide throughout. With plenty of choice on the table, Mark's nearly at decision day.
