Becoming a foster carer with HOME
Your fostering assessment and housing support happen side by side. While you prepare to foster, we help you find and afford a home with the space you need.
STEP 1
Get ready to foster
You’ll complete the full fostering assessment, including training, checks, home visits and panel approval, with support from the HOME team throughout.

STEP 2
Find the right home
Alongside your assessment, we’ll help you look for a suitable home in an area that works for you and your family, with the space needed to foster.
STEP 3
Settle in with support
The Moving HOME Grant can help cover your deposit, initial rent and essential furniture. You can also receive a significant monthly rent contribution for as long as you foster with HOME.
We’ll be with you all the way.
Alongside help with housing, you’ll have a team around you for the practical, professional and emotional side of fostering.
A dedicated supervising social worker.
24/7 support, including a wraparound team for school runs, family time and appointments.
